Chicken owners, how about you? What do you feed your chickens?
Great post, Karen. What do I feed my chickens? Goodness, just about anything. Today they got their normal organic soy-free grain, freshly made quinoa with a banana cut up into it (it was overripe and no one was going to eat it in the house and no banana bread getting made any time soon with Thanksgiving coming). I ate a piece of leftover wild salmon for lunch and gave them the skin. It was fight-worthy. And then I went to clean the kitchen and found some leftover quinoa I had made for dinner the other night mixed with sauteed cabbage, red pepper and onion. They loved it.
